Meet the Boler

November 6, 2011

Here it is, our new project.  All the aluminium has been painted black. a black patch is on the back and a hatch has been cut in the side, as it spent some time as a coffee stand.

Most of it has been recently repainted,  the frame, outside and inside of the trailer.  The lights are not connected and the interior is gutted.  The outside was not sealed, so water has found it’s way inside.  It is a project.

One window no longer works,  another was replace with on that does not open.  The kitchen is missing, the door doesn’t close properly and has water inside it, the floor sags and has many holes drilled through it.  No propane or electrical system.

The hub caps are ford, trim is removed, front stand does not work, roof vent has gone brittle and does not have a fan.  the back window is showing it’s age and needs to be replaced.  Many of the small pieces have a thick layer of paint and need to be cleaned up.  The bike rack mount at the back looks like it was cut out with a torch and painted, it with a few other random pieces of metal need to be removed and the frame cleaned up.

The exterior paint is good for now, and the exterior lights seem fine, everything else needs work.

Will start to plan once it is home:)

i love the pictures on your blog! I plan to spend time in Colorado with the family and trailer, but want the boys to be ready to climb and backpack first. I have never been, but it looks amazing there. Look forward to reading more of your outdoor posts!

I love your boler! This is the exact type of project that I would undertake, haha. Can’t wait to see the finished product 🙂
