Cypress Falls 2011

Cypress Falls Old growth forest

We have chosen not to camp every weekend, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get outside.  Cypress falls is a great local hike.  Leaving Langley we were their in just under 40 minutes, as it is just off the freeway.  Pulling into the parking lot, along an old field and only two other vehicles did not give me confidence.

The trail quickly proved me wrong.  Imediatly the trail is along side a creek as you walk through the beautiful forest North and West Vancouver have an abundance of.

A bridge by a waterfall makes a great stop, then we continued into an old growth forest.  The trail is easy, however today the boys were tired (must have been the bike ride and all the running at the park earlier that day).

With a gentle hill, and huge trees this is a great hike with kids.

yes, they are very lucky to have such cool outdoors activities organised for them! I hope to be able to do the same when I have children 🙂

I find it much easier to take them out than stay at home. They eat anything when out and don’t make a mess.
